Raposo & Valente was established in 1998 by its current partners: Filipe Raposo and Rui Valente.

This project came about at the time as a result of the experience both partners had already gained in companies operating in the same area.

As the market evolved in tandem with Raposo & Valente's experience and quality of service, the company became increasingly sought after for its work in fitting out and remodelling commercial spaces. This portfolio of customers contributed to increasing the company's standing in the market.

In September 2004, a decision was made to implement a quality management system in the company. In April 2005, Raposo & Valente saw this quality management system recognised by a certifying body, regarding the assembly, remodeling and decorating of commercial spaces.

The company has fitted out a vast array of different spaces since it was founded in 1998, such as:

• Shell, BP, Agip, Esso, Repsol and Alves Bandeira convenience stores in Portugal, Spain, Cape Verde, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Norway
• Chevignon ready-to-wear shops in Spain
• PC City computer shops in Spain
• Primark ready-to-wear megastores in Spain
• Various other projects involving stands at trade fairs, events and concerts; film studios; and modifications and alterations in shops.
